Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup sour cream

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Cream together the butter, vanilla, and sugar. Blend in the sour cream; add dry ingredients. Chill dough for 1 hour. Roll to 1/2 inch thickness on a powdered sugar and floured surface. Cut with cookie cutter; bake on butter-greased cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes.
